Very Rare Pratakshya Lakshmi Sadhana:

Ask anyone what is the basis of life and the prompt answer shall be – wealth. And the reason for this is that without it life becomes a long tale of misery and problems. But not just for the family man, wealth is important for the ascetic too. In fact the Yogi who strives selflessly for bettering the lives of others might need more wealth than the family man for building temples, hospitals and for the charitable purposes.

Hence wealth is the key to success and happiness in life provided that is used for good causes. And if one lacks wealth in life, if there is a scarcity of resources then the utter frustration, hopelessness, poverty and despair set in. the Goddess of wealth is Lakshmi and to give a permanence to her in one’s life is not so easy. This is because Lakshmi remains permanently at a place only if there is sacredness, intelligence, patience and activeness ruling over the place.

And there can be no better way of making these attributes a permanent part of your home than Lakshmi Sadhana. There are thousands of Sadhanas for gaining wealth that have appeared in the ancient scriptures. Then what is so special about this ritual?

Actually, this is a very powerful and rare Sadhana through which one not just becomes rich but one also gains the intelligence to use the wealth so obtained in a proper and right manner so that one goes on becoming more prosperous even though one might spend to one’s heart’s content. This Sadhana also bestows one with the wisdom to seek good opportunities for making wealth even when the stars are not favoring one. This Sadhana is based on Jain Sabar System and its efficacy is time tested.

This amazing Sadhana should be accomplished in a moonless night after 10 pm. Have a bath and wear pure white clothes and sit facing the South on a white mat. Cover a wooden seat with a white cloth. On the cloth draw two triangles with vermillion so that a six pointed star is formed. This can be done by imposing two triangles, one normal and the other inverted, over each other. Then on each of the six vertices of the star place a Gomti Chakra. Thus one shall need six Gomti Chakras. In the centre of the star place a Siyar Singhi. Also place a picture of Sadgurudev. Offer vermillion, rice grains, flowers petals on the picture and light a mustard oil lamp. Drop five Kelans in the oil in the lamp. It would be better if one uses a big lamp so as to accommodate the Kelans.

Then offer prayers to the Guru and chant one round of Guru Mantra.

Take water in the right palm and then speak out thus – I (speak your name) am performing this Sadhana for the gain of wealth and for giving Goddess Lakshmi a permanent place in my life.

Then let the water flow to the floor.

Next with a red coral rosary chant just eleven rounds of the following Mantra,

Om Nnamo Lakshmyei Siddhim Dehi Pratyaksham Bhav Nnamo Hoom

After the Mantra chanting, blow at the oil lamp and put out the flame. Take out four Kelans and throw them in the floor directions outside from your house. Then tie the remaining one Kelan and the other Sadhana articles in the white cloth and bury the bundle in your house. If this is not possible, place the bundle in your safe.

Rishi Vashishtth Rishi Vashishtth once said to his disciple Aarambik - I am sitting down in Lakshmi Sadhana with the aim of having the glimpse of the Goddess. There is no other Sadhana more great than this. There is no other Mantra more powerful than it. I wish to accomplish this Sadhana so that I could have the blessings of the Goddess Lakshmi.
On a Friday, Rishi Vashishtth placed a Lakshmi Yantra before himself and made it consecrated with Shreerodaya Mantra. Then he lit four lamps representing Riddhi (wealth), Siddhi (spiritual powers), Shubh (luck) and Laabh (gains). Then with a Sfatik rosary he started to chant the following Mantra. The Mantra given by Vashishtth is -

Om Hreem Kamal Vaasinyei Pratyaksham Hreem Phat.

For this Sadhana he had a bath at night and sat on a yellow mat facing East. And as he completed 21 rounds of the Mantra, Goddess Lakshmi appeared and said - I am very much pleased with you. I shall forever bless your hermitage with wealth and prosperity. You shall never have to face any paucity, poverty or sorrow in your life again.
This proved the power and efficacy of the Mantra, Yantra and Sadhana devised by sage Vashishtth. Similarly there are other Mantras and Sadhanas devised by the sage which are very powerful and unfailing.

Maharishi Pulatsya Rishi Pulatsya accomplished a very special Lakshmi Sadhana in order to gain wealth and prosperity. Many texts contain reference to this Sadhana. He placed a Shree Lakshmi Yantra in a copper plate and lit a ghee lamp. He sat on a yellow mat facing North. Then with a White Hakeek rosary he completed 11 rounds of a Mantra which compelled Lakshmi to appear. This proved that the Mantra devised by the sage was really divine and efficacious. The Mantra used by the Rishi was -

Om Hreem Hreem Hreem Kamal Vaasinyei Aagachch Aagachch Hreem Hreem Hreem Namah.

After this many Sadhaks tested the power of this Sadhana and each time it proved miraculously effective.

Shankaracharya Shankaracharya was the greatest scholar and Sanyasi of his times. His Guru told him that till he did not accomplish the Sadhana and worship of Goddess Lakshmi he would not be able to attain to totality in life. He revealed a very secret Sadhana to Shankar that is amazingly powerful.
On any Sunday night take a plate of copper or bronze and smear black lamp over it. Then with a silver straw draw a picture of Goddess Lakshmi on it. On it place an Eishwarya Lakshmi Yantra. Then wear white robes and sit facing North. Prepare four lamps of dough and fill them with sesame or mustard oil. Place them on the four corners of the plate. Then with a Coral rosary chant 31 rounds of the following Mantra.

Om Hreem Hreem Shreem Shreem Hreem Hreem Phat.

On completion of the chanting sleep at that very spot. In the morning you might hear the tinkling sound of anklets. This shall be a sign of advent of Goddess Lakshmi in your house. There shall then never be any paucity in your house.
I have seen many Yogis of the Himalayas use this very Sadhana and they have experienced that it is a very wonderful Mantra ritual.

Swami Sachidanand The hermitage of Swami Sachidanand was in Tihri Garhwal. It was very famous and well known. He had procured a very ancient text from Nepal in which a very special Sadhana of Goddess Lakshmi was given which the Yogiraj had successfully accomplished. This amazing Sadhana is contained in his handwritten autobiography. Many Yogis have gained amazingly much through this Sadhana.
In the night of any Wednesday have a bath and wear yellow clothes. Sit on a worship mat facing North. In a straight line light eleven lamps filled with oil. You can use mustard, groundnut or sesame oil. Before them place a Lakshmi Siddh Yantra which should be energised with Vishnnu Mantra. Then with a Siddhi rosary chant the following Mantra. You might hear tinkle of jewellery or have a glimpse of the Goddess but do not leave the chanting in the middle.

Several Yogis of the Himalayas have tried this ritual and they experienced that it is really a very powerful Mantra.

Pagla Baba Pagla Baba is famous in the whole of India and he has donated lakhs of ruppees in his life time. Still there seems to be no end to his wealth. In his youth he had accomplished a Lakshmi Sadhana which is very secret. It is as follows.
Fill a clay lamp with ghee and place it on your left. Light it. Then with a Kamalgatta rosary chant 21 rounds of the following Mantra.

Om Hreem Eishwarya Shreem Dhan Dhaanyaadhipatayei Ayeim Poornnatva Lakshmi Siddhhayei Namah.

At least 21 rounds have to be chanted. After completion of the chanting place the lamp on the floor. It is said that this ritual has never failed. It is the best Sadhana of the Hath Yog and if tried with full faith and devotion it can never fail. Before the lamp the Poornnatva Lakshmi Yantra has to be placed. After Sadhana tie the Yantra in a yellow cloth and place it where you keep your cash. It is without doubt one of the best Sadhanas.

Do not sit down or sleep or drink water till 11 rounds are over. If you feel tired you can stand against a wall. There is no need of any lamp or incense in this Sadhana. If you wish you can light an oil or ghee lamp. This is an unfailing ritual and is very success oriented.

Matsyendranath Guru Matsyendranath is as famous as Gorakhnath in the field of Tantra. It is said that when it comes to the highest level of Sadhanas Guru Matsyendranath was even more accomplished than Guru Gorakhnath. Have a bath and wear a clean Dhoti. Don't wear any other cloth. Sit on the floor without any mat facing the North. Place a Heera Shankh before yourself. Then with a Hakeek rosary chant 31 rounds of the following Mantra.

Ayeim Yam Ram Shreem Yam Froum Kreem Phat.

This is a powerful Mantra made of Beej Mantras. It is really very effective and each Sadhak should try to make the best use of it.

Make a mark on it with vermilion. Make a similar mark on your forehead. Sit on a red mat facing the North. Wear red clothes for the Sadhana. Light seven ghee lamps or an oil lamp. Next chant the following Bhaagyoday Lakshmi Mantra.

Om Lakshmi Aabadh Aabadh Siddhaya Siddhaya Phat.

Chant 5 rounds with a Sfatik rosary. As soon as the Mantra chanting is concluded the grace of the Goddess in obtained and the person never has to face any paucity in the future. This is really a very powerful and divine Mantra.

Avdhoot Krityanand In the Avdhoot class of Sadhanas Swami Krityanand is world famous. He once revealed a very important Lakshmi Sadhana to me.
In any night take a Kaam Roopinni in your hand. Take a clay lamp filled with oil in the same palm and light it. With the eyes concentrated on the flame chant the following Mantra with a Red Coral rosary. Chant 11 rounds of the Mantra.

Om Shram Siddheshwaraay Lam Mahaalakshmi Vam Vashyamaanay Phat.

After the Mantra chanting place the Kamroop Manni in a safe place at home. You shall be left amazed by the effect of this Sadhana in a few days. Every Sadhak should surely try this Sadhana.

In the night of a Tuesday wear red clothes and stand on a red mat. Make a mark with vermilion on your forehead. Take Vashikarann Lakshmi Yantra in your left hand and with Siddh rosary in the right chant 21 rounds of the following Mantra.

Aghor Lakshmi Mam Grihe Aagachch Sthaapay Tushtay Poornnatvam Dehi Dehi Phat.

This is really an amazing Mantra ritual which appears very simple but is really very powerful. Accomplishing it means gaining the grace of the Goddess.

“प्रपञ्चसार तन्त्र”, “श्री श्रीविद्यार्णव तन्त्र” एवं “शारदातिलक तन्त्र” के आधार पर यह विधान प्रथम बार इन्टरनेट पर प्रकाशित ।
विनियोगः- ॐ हिरण्य – वर्णामित्यादि-पञ्चदशर्चस्य श्रीसूक्तस्याद्यायाः ऋचः श्री ऋषिः तां म आवहेति चतुर्दशानामृचां आनन्द-कर्दम-चिक्लीत-इन्दिरा-सुताश्चत्वारः ऋचयः, आद्य-मन्त्र-त्रयाणां अनुष्टुप् छन्दः, कांसोऽस्मीत्यस्याः चतुर्थ्या वृहती छन्दः, पञ्चम-षष्ठयोः त्रिष्टुप् छन्दः, ततोऽष्टावनुष्टुभः, अन्त्या प्रस्तार-पंक्तिः छन्दः । श्रीरग्निश्च देवते । हिरण्य-वर्णां बीजं । “तां म आवह जातवेद” शक्तिः । कीर्तिसमृद्धिं ददातु मे” कीलकम् । मम श्रीमहालक्ष्मी-प्रसाद-सिद्धयर्थे जपे विनियोगः ।
ऋष्यादि-न्यासः- श्री-आनन्द-कर्दम-चिक्लीत-इन्दिरा-सुतेभ्यः ऋषिभ्यो नमः-शिरसि । अनुष्टुप्-बृहती-त्रिष्टुप्-प्रस्तार-पंक्ति-छन्दोभ्यो नमः-मुखे । श्रीरग्निश्च देवताभ्यां नमः – हृदि । हिरण्य-वर्णां बीजाय नमः गुह्ये । “तां म आवह जातवेद” शक्तये नमः – पादयो । कीर्तिसमृद्धिं ददातु मे” कीलकाय नमः नाभौ । मम श्रीमहालक्ष्मी-प्रसाद-सिद्धयर्थे जपे विनियोगाय नमः सर्वांगे ।
अंग-न्यासः- ‘श्री-सूक्त’ के मन्त्रों में से एक-एक मन्त्र का उच्चारण करते हुए दाहिने हाथ की अँगुलियों से क्रमशः सिर, नेत्र, कान, नासिका, मुख, कण्ठ, दोनों बाहु, हृदय, नाभि, लिंग, पायु (गुदा), उरु (जाँघ), जानु (घुटना), जँघा और पैरों में न्यास करें । यथा -
१॰ ॐ हिरण्य-वर्णां हरिणीं, सुवर्ण-रजत-स्त्रजाम् ।
चन्द्रां हिरण्यमयीं लक्ष्मीं, जातवेदो म आवह ।। – शिरसि
२॰ ॐ तां म आवह जात-वेदो, लक्ष्मीमनप-गामिनीम् ।
यस्यां हिरण्यं विन्देयं, गामश्वं पुरूषानहम् ।। – नेत्रयोः
३॰ ॐ अश्वपूर्वां रथ-मध्यां, हस्ति-नाद-प्रबोधिनीम् ।
श्रियं देवीमुपह्वये, श्रीर्मा देवी जुषताम् ।। – कर्णयोः
४॰ ॐ कांसोऽस्मि तां हिरण्य-प्राकारामार्द्रां ज्वलन्तीं तृप्तां तर्पयन्तीं ।

५॰ ॐ चन्द्रां प्रभासां यशसा ज्वलन्तीं श्रियं लोके देव-जुष्टामुदाराम् ।

ॐ हिरण्यायै नमः	कनिष्ठिकाभ्यां नमः	नेत्र-त्रयाय वौषट्
ॐ हिरण्य-वर्णायै नमः	करतल-कर-पृष्ठाभ्यां नमः	अस्त्राय फट्

दिग्-बन्धनः- “ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वरोम्” से दिग्-बन्धन करें ।
ध्यानः- या सा पद्मासनस्था विपुल-कटि-तटी पद्म-पत्रायताक्षी,
गम्भीरावर्त्त-नाभि-स्तन-भार-नमिता शुभ्र-वस्त्रोत्तरीया ।
लक्ष्मीर्दिव्यैर्गन्ध-मणि-गण-खचितैः स्नापिता हेम-कुम्भैः,
नित्यं सा पद्म-हस्ता मम वसतु गृहे सर्व-मांगल्य-युक्ता ।।
अरुण-कमल-संस्था, तद्रजः-पुञ्ज-वर्णा,
कर-कमल-धृतेष्टा, भीति-युग्माम्बुजा च।
मणि-मुकुट-विचित्रालंकृता कल्प-जालैः
सकल-भुवन-माता ,सन्ततं श्रीः श्रियै नः।।
मानस-पूजनः- इस प्रकार ध्यान करके भगवती लक्ष्मी का मानस पूजन करें -
ॐ लं पृथ्वी-तत्त्वात्मकं गन्धं श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-श्रीपादुकाभ्यां नमः अनुकल्पयामि (अधोमुख-कनिष्ठांगुष्ठ-मुद्रा) । ॐ हं आकाश-तत्त्वात्मकं पुष्पं श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-श्रीपादुकाभ्यां नमः अनुकल्पयामि (अधोमुख-तर्जनी-अंगुष्ठ-मुद्रा) । ॐ यं वायु-तत्त्वात्मकं धूपं श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-श्रीपादुकाभ्यां नमः अनुकल्पयामि (ऊर्ध्व-मुख-तर्जनी-अंगुष्ठ-मुद्रा) । ॐ रं वह्नयात्मकं दीपं श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-श्रीपादुकाभ्यां नमः अनुकल्पयामि । (ऊर्ध्व-मुख-मध्यमा-अंगुष्ठ-मुद्रा) । ॐ वं जल-तत्त्वात्मकं नैवेद्यं श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-श्रीपादुकाभ्यां नमः अनुकल्पयामि (ऊर्ध्व-मुख-अनामिका-अंगुष्ठ-मुद्रा) । ॐ शं सर्व-तत्त्वात्मकं ताम्बूलं श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-श्रीपादुकाभ्यां नमः अनुकल्पयामि (ऊर्ध्व-मुख-सर्वांगुलि-मुद्रा) ।

अब सर्व-देवोपयोगी पद्धति से अर्घ्य एवं पाद्य-आचमनीय आदि पात्रों की स्थापना करके पीठ-पूजन करें ।
‘सर्वतोभद्र-मण्डल′ आदि पर निम्न ‘पूजन-यन्त्र’ की स्थापना करके मण्डूकादि-पर-तत्त्वान्त देवताओं की पूजा करें । तत्पश्चात् पूर्वादि-क्रम से भगवती लक्ष्मी की पीठ-शक्तियों की अर्चना करें । यथा -
श्री विभूत्यै नमः, श्री उन्नत्यै नमः, श्री कान्त्यै नमः, श्री सृष्ट्यै नमः, श्री कीर्त्यै नमः, श्री सन्नत्यै नमः, श्री व्युष्ट्यै नमः, श्री उत्कृष्ट्यै नमः ।
मध्य में – ‘श्री ऋद्धयै नमः ।’
पुष्पाञ्जलि समर्पित कर मध्य में प्रसून-तूलिका की कल्पना करके - “श्री सर्व-शक्ति-कमलासनाय नमः” इस मन्त्र से समग्र ‘पीठ‘ का पूजन करे ।
‘सहस्रार’ में गुरुदेव का पूजन कर एवं उनसे आज्ञा लेकर पूर्व-वत् पुनः ‘षडंग-न्यास’ करे । भगवती लक्ष्मी का ध्यान कर पर-संवित्-स्वरुपिणी तेजो-मयी देवी लक्ष्मी को नासा-पुट से पुष्पाञ्जलि में लाकर आह्वान करे । यथा -
ॐ देवेशि ! भक्ति-सुलभे, परिवार-समन्विते !
तावत् त्वां पूजयिष्यामि, तावत् त्वं स्थिरा भव !
हिरण्य-वर्णां हरिणीं, सुवर्ण-रजत-स्रजाम् ।
चन्द्रां हिरण्य-मयीं लक्ष्मीं, जातवेदो ममावह ।।
श्री महा-लक्ष्मि ! इहागच्छ, इहागच्छ, इह सन्तिष्ठ, इह सन्तिष्ठ, इह सन्निधेहि, इह सन्निधेहि, इह सन्निरुध्वस्व, इह सन्निरुध्वस्व, इह सम्मुखी भव, इह अवगुण्ठिता भव !
आवाहनादि नव मुद्राएँ दिखाकर ‘अमृतीकरण’ एवं ‘परमीकरण’ करके – “ॐ आं ह्रीं क्रों यं रं लं वं शं षं सं हौं हंसः श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-देवतायाः प्राणाः । ॐ आं ह्रीं क्रों यं रं लं वं शं षं सं हौं हंसः श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-देवतायाः जीव इह स्थितः । ॐ आं ह्रीं क्रों यं रं लं वं शं षं सं हौं हंसः श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-देवतायाः सर्वेन्द्रियाणि । ॐ आं ह्रीं क्रों यं रं लं वं शं षं सं हौं हंसः श्रीमहा-लक्ष्मी-देवतायाः वाङ्-मनो-चक्षु-श्रोत्र-घ्राण-प्राण-पदानि इहैवागत्य सुखं चिर तिष्ठन्तु स्वाहा ।।” इस प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा-मन्त्र से लेलिहान-मुद्रा-पूर्वक प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा करे ।
उक्त प्रकार आवाहनादि करके यथोपलब्ध द्रव्यों से भगवती की राजसी पूजा करे । यथा -
१॰ आसन -
ॐ तां म आवह जात-वेदो, लक्ष्मीमनप-गामिनीम् ।
यस्यां हिरण्यं विन्देयं, गामश्वं पुरूषानहम् ।।
।। हे महा-लक्ष्मि ! तुभ्यं पद्मासनं कल्पयामि नमः ।।
देवी के वाम भाग में कमल-पुष्प स्थापित करके ‘सिंहासन-मुद्रा’ और ‘पद्म-मुद्रा’ दिखाए ।
२॰ अर्घ्य-दान -
ॐ अश्वपूर्वां रथ-मध्यां, हस्ति-नाद-प्रबोधिनीम् ।
श्रियं देवीमुपह्वये, श्रीर्मा देवी जुषताम् ।।
।। हे महा-लक्ष्मि ! एतत् ते अर्घ्यं कल्पयामि स्वाहा ।।
‘कमल-मुद्रा’ से भगवती के शिर पर अर्घ्य प्रदान करे ।
३॰ पाद्य -
ॐ कांसोऽस्मि तां हिरण्य-प्राकारामार्द्रां ज्वलन्तीं तृप्तां तर्पयन्तीं ।
पद्मे स्थितां पद्म-वर्णां तामिहोपह्वये श्रियम् ।।
।। हे महा-लक्ष्मि ! पाद्यं कल्पयामि नमः ।।
चरण-कमलों में ‘पाद्य’ समर्पित करके प्रणाम करे ।
४॰ आचमनीय -
ॐ चन्द्रां प्रभासां यशसा ज्वलन्तीं श्रियं लोके देव-जुष्टामुदाराम् ।
तां पद्म-नेमिं शरणमहं प्रपद्ये अलक्ष्मीर्मे नश्यतां त्वां वृणोमि ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै आचमनीयं कल्पयामि नमः ।।
मुख में आचमन प्रदान करके प्रणाम करे ।
५॰ मधु-पर्क -
ॐ आदित्य-वर्णे तपसोऽधिजातो वनस्पतिस्तव वृक्षोऽक्ष बिल्वः ।
तस्य फलानि तपसा नुदन्तु मायान्तरायाश्च बाह्या अलक्ष्मीः ।।
।। श्री महालक्ष्म्यै मधु-पर्क कल्पयामि स्वधा । पुनराचमनीयम् कल्पयामि ।।
पुनः आचमन समर्पित करें ।
६॰ स्नान (सुगन्धित द्रव्यों से उद्वर्तन करके स्नान कराए) -
ॐ उपैतु मां दैव-सखः, कीर्तिश्च मणिना सह ।
प्रादुर्भूतोऽस्मि राष्ट्रेऽस्मिन्, कीर्तिं वृद्धिं ददातु मे ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै स्नानं कल्पयामि नमः ।।
‘स्नान’ कराकर केशादि मार्जन करने के बाद वस्त्र प्रदान करे । इसके पूर्व पुनः आचमन कराए ।
७॰ वस्त्र -
ॐ क्षुत्-पिपासाऽमला ज्येष्ठा, अलक्ष्मीर्नाशयाम्यहम् ।
अभूतिमसमृद्धिं च, सर्वान् निर्णुद मे गृहात् ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै वाससी परिकल्पयामि नमः ।।
पुनः आचमन कराए ।
८॰ आभूषण -
ॐ गन्ध-द्वारां दुराधर्षां, नित्य-पुष्टां करीषिणीम् ।
ईश्वरीं सर्व-भूतानां, तामिहोपह्वये श्रियम् ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै सुवर्णानि भूषणानि कल्पयामि ।।
९॰ गन्ध -
ॐ मनसः काममाकूतिं, वाचः सत्यमशीमहि ।
पशूनां रूपमन्नस्य, मयि श्रीः श्रयतां यशः ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै गन्धं समर्पयामि नमः ।।
१०॰ पुष्प -
ॐ कर्दमेन प्रजा-भूता, मयि सम्भव-कर्दम ।
श्रियं वासय मे कुले, मातरं पद्म-मालिनीम् ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै एतानि पुष्पाणि वौषट् ।।
११॰ धूप -
ॐ आपः सृजन्तु स्निग्धानि, चिक्लीत वस मे गृहे । नि च देवीं मातरं श्रियं वासय मे कुले ।।
ॐ वनस्पति-रसोद्-भूतः, गन्धाढ्यो गन्धः उत्तमः । आघ्रेयः सर्व-देवानां, धूपोऽयं प्रतिगृह्यताम् ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै धूपं आघ्रापयामि नमः ।।
१२॰ दीप -
ॐ आर्द्रां पुष्करिणीं पुष्टिं, पिंगलां पद्म-मालिनीम् । चन्द्रां हिरण्मयीं लक्ष्मीं, जातवेदो म आवह ।।
ॐ सुप्रकाशो महा-दीपः, सर्वतः तिमिरापहः । स बाह्यान्तर-ज्योतिः, दीपोऽयं प्रति-गृह्यताम् ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै प्रदीपं दर्शयामि नमः ।।
दीपक दिखाकर प्रणाम करे । पुनः आचमन कराए ।
१३॰ नैवेद्य -
देवी के समक्ष ‘चतुरस्र-मण्डल′ बनाकर उस पर ‘त्रिपादिका-आधार’ स्थापित करे । षट्-रस व्यञ्जन-युक्त ‘नैवेद्य-पात्र’ उस आधार पर रखें । ‘वायु-बीज’ (यं) नैवेद्य के दोषों को सुखाकर, ‘अग्नि-बीज’ (रं) से उसका दहन करे । ‘सुधा-बीज’ (वं) से नैवेद्य का ‘अमृतीकरण’ करें । बाँएँ हाथ के अँगूठे से नैवेद्य-पात्र को स्पर्श करते हुए दाहिने हाथ में सुसंस्कृत अमृत-मय जल-पात्र लेकर ‘नैवेद्य’ समर्पित करें -
ॐ आर्द्रां यः करिणीं यष्टिं, सुवर्णां हेम-मालिनीम् ।
सूर्यां हिरण्मयीं लक्ष्मीं, जातवेदो ममावह ।।
ॐ सत्पात्र-सिद्धं सुहविः, विविधानेक-भक्षणम् । नैवेद्यं निवेदयामि, सानुगाय गृहाण तत् ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै नैवेद्यं निवेदयामि नमः ।।
चुलूकोदक (दाईं हथेली में जल) से ‘नैवेद्य’ समर्पित करें ।
दूसरे पात्र में अमृतीकरण जल लेकर “ॐ हिरण्य-वर्णाम्” – इस प्रथम ऋचा का पाठ करके – “श्री महा-लक्ष्म्यै अमृतोपस्तरणमसि स्वाहा” । श्री महा-लक्ष्मि ! अपोशनं कल्पयामि स्वाहा ।
तत्पश्चात् “प्राणाय स्वाहा” आदि का उच्चारण करते हुए ‘पञ्च प्राण-मुद्राएँ’ दिखाएँ । “हिरण्य-वर्णाम्” – इस प्रथम ऋचा का दस बार पाठ करके समर्पित करें । फिर ‘उत्तरापोशन’ कराएँ । ‘नैवेद्य-मुद्रा’ दिखाकर प्रणाम करें । ‘नैवेद्य-पात्र’ को ईशान या उत्तर दिशा में रखें । नैवेद्य-स्थान को जल से साफ कर ताम्बूल प्रदान करें ।
१४॰ ताम्बूल -
ॐ तां म आवह जात-वेदो लक्ष्मीमनप-गामिनीम् ।
यस्यां हिरण्यं प्रभूतं गावो दास्योऽश्वान् विन्देयं पुरूषानहम् ।।
।। श्री महा-लक्ष्मि ! ऐं हं हं हं इदम् ताम्बूलं गृहाण, स्वाहा ।।
‘ताम्बूल′ देकर प्रणाम करें ।

आवरण-पूजा
भगवती से उनके परिवार की अर्चना हेतु अनुमति माँग कर ‘आवरण-पूजा’ करे । यथा -
ॐ संविन्मयि ! परे देवि ! परामृत-रस-प्रिये ! अनुज्ञां देहि मे मातः ! परिवारार्चनाय ते ।।
प्रथम आवरण – केसरों में ‘षडंग-शक्तियों’ का पूजन करे -
१॰ हिरण्य-मय्यै नमः हृदयाय नमः । हृदय-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
२॰ चन्द्रायै नमः शिरसे स्वाहा । शिरः-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
३॰ रजत-स्रजायै नमः शिखायै वषट् । शिखा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
४॰ हिरण्य-स्रजायै नमः कवचाय हुम् । कवच-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।

पुष्पाञ्जलि प्रदान करे ।

द्वितीय आवरण – पत्रों में पूर्व से प्रारम्भ करके वामावर्त-क्रम से ‘पद्मा, पद्म-वर्णा, पद्मस्था, आर्द्रा, तर्पयन्ती, तृप्ता, ज्वलन्ती’ एवं ‘स्वर्ण-प्राकारा’ का पूजन-तर्पण करे । यथा -
१॰ पद्मायै नमः । पद्मा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
२॰ पद्म-वर्णायै नमः । पद्म-वर्णा–श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
३॰ पद्मस्थायै नमः । पद्मस्था-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
४॰ आर्द्रायै नमः । आर्द्रा–श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
५॰ तर्पयन्त्यै नमः । तर्पयन्ती-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
६॰ तृप्तायै नमः । तृप्ता-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
७॰ ज्वलन्त्यै नमः । ज्वलन्ती-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
८॰ स्वर्ण-प्राकारायै नमः । स्वर्ण-प्राकारा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः ।
द्वितीय आवरण की पूजा कर फल भगवती को समर्पित करें । यथा -

तृतीय आवरण – भू-पुर में इन्द्र आदि दिक्-पालों का पूजन-तर्पण करे । यथा -
लं इन्द्राय नमः – पूर्वे । रं अग्न्ये नमः – अग्नि कोणे । यं यमाय नमः – दक्षिणे । क्षं निऋतये नमः – नैऋत-कोणे । वं वरुणाय नमः – पश्चिमे । यं वायवे नमः – वायु-कोणे । सं सोमाय नमः – उत्तरे । हां ईशानाय नमः – ईशान-कोणे । आं ब्रह्मणे नमः – इन्द्र और ईशान के बीच । ह्रीं अनन्ताय नमः – वरुण और निऋति के बीच ।
तृतीय आवरण की पूजा कर फल भगवती को समर्पित करें । यथा -
ॐ अभीष्ट-सिद्धिं मे देहि, शरणागत-वत्सले !
भक्तया समर्पये तुभ्यं, तृतीयावरणार्चनम् ।। पूजिताः तर्पिताः सन्तु महा-लक्ष्म्यै नमः ।।

चतुर्थ आवरण - इन्द्रादि दिक्पालों के समीप ही उनके ‘वज्र’ आदि आयुधों का अर्चन करें । यथा -
ॐ वं वज्राय नमः, ॐ वज्र-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ शं शक्तये नमः, ॐ शक्ति-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ दं दण्डाय नमः, ॐ दण्ड-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ खं खड्गाय नमः, ॐ खड्ग-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ पां पाशाय नमः, ॐ पाश-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ अं अंकुशाय नमः, ॐ अंकुश-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ गं गदायै नमः, ॐ गदा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ त्रिं त्रिशूलाय नमः, ॐ त्रिशूल-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ पं पद्माय नमः, ॐ पद्म-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
ॐ चं चक्राय नमः, ॐ चक्र-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
चतुर्थ आवरण की पूजा कर फल भगवती को समर्पित करें । यथा -
ॐ अभीष्ट-सिद्धिं मे देहि, शरणागत-वत्सले !
भक्तया समर्पये तुभ्यं, चतुर्थावरणार्चनम् ।। पूजिताः तर्पिताः सन्तु महा-लक्ष्म्यै नमः ।।

प्रथम ऋचा से कर्णिका में महा-देवी महा-लक्ष्मी का पुष्प-धूप-गन्ध, दीप और नैवेद्य आदि उपचारों से पुनः पूजन करें ।
तत्पश्वात् पूजा-यन्त्र में देवी के समक्ष गन्ध-पुष्प-अक्षत से भगवती के ३२ नामों से पूजन-तर्पण करें ।
१॰ ॐ श्रियै नमः । श्री-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
२॰ ॐ लक्ष्म्यै नमः । लक्ष्मी-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
३॰ ॐ वरदायै नमः । वरदा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
४॰ ॐ विष्णु-पत्न्यै नमः । विष्णु-पत्नी-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
५॰ ॐ वसु-प्रदायै नमः । वसु-प्रदा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
६॰ ॐ हिरण्य-रुपिण्यै नमः । हिरण्य-रुपिणी-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
७॰ ॐ स्वर्ण-मालिन्यै नमः । स्वर्ण-मालिनी-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
८॰ ॐ रजत-स्रजायै नमः । रजत-स्रजा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
९॰ ॐ स्वर्ण-गृहायै नमः । स्वर्ण-गृहा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१०॰ ॐ स्वर्ण-प्राकारायै नमः । स्वर्ण-प्राकारा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
११॰ ॐ पद्म-वासिन्यै नमः । पद्म-वासिनी-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१२॰ ॐ पद्म-हस्तायै नमः । पद्म-हस्ता-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१३॰ ॐ पद्म-प्रियायै नमः । पद्म-प्रिया-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१४॰ ॐ मुक्तालंकारायै नमः । मुक्तालंकारा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१५॰ ॐ सूर्यायै नमः । सूर्या-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१६॰ ॐ चन्द्रायै नमः । चन्द्रा-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१७॰ ॐ बिल्व-प्रियायै नमः । बिल्व-प्रिया-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१८॰ ॐ ईश्वर्यै नमः । ईश्वरी-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
१९॰ ॐ भुक्तयै नमः । भुक्ति-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।
२०॰ ॐ प्रभुक्तयै नमः । प्रभुक्ति-श्रीपादुकां पूजयामि तर्पयामि नमः।

उपर्युक्त ३२ नामों से भगवती के निमित्त हविष्य ‘बलि’ प्रदान करने का भी विधान है ।
श्री-सूक्त की पन्द्रह ऋचाओं से नीराजन और प्रदक्षिणा करके पुष्पाञ्जलि प्रदान करे । तदुपरान्त पुनः न्यास करके श्री-सूक्त का पाठ करे । ‘क्षमापन-स्तोत्र’ का पाठ करके पूजन और पाठ का फल भगवती को समर्पित करके विसर्जन करे ।
विशेषः- पुरश्चरण-काल में और बाद में भी प्रति-दिन सूर्योदय के समय जलाशय में स्नान करके सूर्य-मण्डलस्था भगवती महा-लक्ष्मी का उपर्युक्त ३२ नामों से तर्पण करना ‘श्री-सूक्त’ के साधकों के लिए आवश्यक है ।

The Chandragrahan will be taking place in India between 23:53 and 03:32 (11:53 PM on June 15 to 03:32 AM early morning on June 16, 2011. Total Lunar Eclipse - the moon is fully covered - is from 00:52 hrs to 02:33 hrs.

In India - Time in India is from night of June 15, 2011 to early morning hours of June 16, 2011.

Chandra Grahan and Hindus

Usually during a Chandra Grahan, a fast (Upvaas) is observed by certain communities in Hindu religion. The fast begins about 9 hours before the beginning of Chandra Grahan.

People also take a bath in cold water and chant mantras dedicated to Lord Vishnu or Shiva like the Ashtakshara Mantra or Mrityunjaya Mantra. This is done whenever Surya and Chandra are under the influence of Rahu. Pregnant women chant the Santana Gopala Mantra.
